No surprise really since EADS (Airbus) won the competition, but it was then cancelled and "fixed" so the American company won.
IMO, EADS should sue for costs as it was clearly never a fair competition.

It should read "Boeing bludgeon competition out of the way".

The Americans like to buy American equipment, go figure.

IIRC Congress was always against Airbus getting the deal.
