Those BBC headlines are getting worse even if it does 'get the job done'...

Anyway, that article suggests to me there will be a level of confusion that distorts the vote anyway

I insist on my politicians being odd, but being prime is one step better. 7 for prime minister!

Interesting....

... coming from the man who claims to have persuaded the "Russian Linesman" to award that goal.

The Tories are running scared because they know this will make it just that little bit harder to form a government, and even if they do manage it they won't get away with being absolute pricks.

I'd prefer a bunch of wise old men and women rather than PR driven MPs who grew up in Thatchers time.

I dont think that will stop them, they have an inbuilt ability that shines through.

I have always held that if the voting system changes, a general election must be called immediately the law is passed. This ensures that the electorate get an immediate say in how the country should be run under the new system. A formed this opinion in the 1980’s firmly in the knowledge that if we changed to PR at the time, the Tories would suffer a a loss or a very, very reduced power base. I hold that opinion even today, in times when it’s hard to predict how an AV election would run if held this year.
