China to lease Isles of Wight

In a recession busting move, the UK has agreed to lease the Isle of Wight to China.

I've not been to the Isle of White for years...Perhaps ten years or more...Maybe around 12 or 13, I was around 8 I think...

Well I lived on the Island for 7 years when I was young - used to go surfing at Compton Bay - near Freshwater.

Much better "out-of-season" when no tourists tramping everywhere :lol:

I did before, I live in Cornwall. I don't think you can top that. Even Devonport is a better Naval Base TBH. ;)
