Arriva Trains Wales said horses were not permitted on safety grounds.
Meanwhile, the RSPCA said of the station incident it was "not a safe nor acceptable manner in which to transport an equine."
So its OK to move people by trains but not a horse - guess trains are to dangerous for horses

Alun has already PM'd me about this. We were having a laugh in the office, then we started to look at the picture of the train closer...It's one of ours! Sadly, after figuring out it was a class 158, I looked up the unit allocations for Wrexham that day, it's unit 158825 for anyone who might care...
There may have been room in the bike shed for the pony, as long as there were no bikes currently in there...

You have got to admire his efforts to get his pony for a check up and back and by using rail. Though from what I have been hearing on the news today re rail reform, I think he might find it cheaper to send his horse as a parcel next time.
