I am not really that bothered by such developments. A decent clear picture and on a TV that does not cost much to run is pretty much all I want.

By then, I suspect my eyesight will be at a point where I won’t be able to see it without wearing glasses.

Which makes me wonder how many here, would get a £3000 HD 3D TV? Or even if it were only £1000. For me the price point is around £300 to £500 for an 1080p TV. Also on the horizon are TV's with an even higher resolution, more than double the screen resolution. Which will probably look fantastic if there is the content for it. I think those who forked out for Blu Ray may be very disappointed. Though with some TV's using more energy than all the lights in my house combined it can be expensive to run.
