http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/ca ... mes-967447 Personally, I do a fair bit of research before I buy any game (and they're often not franchise material), and when that happens it's usually second hand or super cheap anyway ![]() I also know quite a few people who haven't bought games in ages because they're so unaware of what's out there and have little reason to take a £30 risk, something the publishers need to address better IMO... |

Shouldn't demos address that problem? The problem for console games is that far too many online services rely on credit card details being kept with some provider or other, then when the hacks come it is so much aggravation to secure things again (Sony). |

I don't like how many companies seem to think MP games are "teh future" and either don't bother with SP or put a small, crap amount in. Bioshock is a fantastic example of SP done really, really well. |

I do not play multi player games, so they lose my purchases if they stick to the multiplayer model. |

Have to agree, I love SP RPGs most of all gaming types. Ones that are basically interactive novels. MPs have their place and I do play them from time to time but it's foolish for companies to think they will survive by copping out on storylines and focusing mainly on the MP aspect. |
