To give a score perhaps you should have to leave a written review with a minimum word count. Other users can rate reviews on usefullness, so a good or bad review that explains their rating well would have a higher weighting than those that claimed the game was full of win or sucked big time.

I doubt any system would be perfect, you just need to sort out as much of the chaff as possible.

Some people are unwilling to leave a written review but will leave a star rating without a problem. If a game is crap and gets poor reviews the site should appreciate that the game is crap and users are unwilling to leave a review. I left a scathing review of Starcrafts registration system on Amazon as it was a pain, especially if you have no internet connection.
