Perhaps the parents will think again before buying an age rated game for their offspring.

I doubt it.

That would be a welcome change, and perhaps the grown man will count to ten and realise it's only a frikking game; before acting like a bloody child.

You can't justify what he did, but I have to say that scenario is just about the likeliest for something bad to happen - online Black Ops (very addictive but the game has serious problems), punk kid, unemployed male who's probably getting beaten by punk kid...

You cannot justify it but that is why I avoid such games. I would be permanently beaten by some spotty oik. So rather than face that embarrassment I avoid online games.

I think strangling the oiks that shouldn't even be playing adult rated games is actually a better long-term solution. Or possibly repeatedly punching the parents of said oiks until they learn some parental responsibility.

You are right these games are age restricted so the parents should at least exercise so authority. Though I can see it from the kids perspective that they want to play the game though really should learn that not everyone else is a kid online and some take it personally.

Some of the abuse and languge dished out over PSN/XBL is unvbelievable and presumably as bad as it is as the little twats can get away with it. I joined a game of Horde on GOW3 the other day and one person was f-this, f-you, f-that because we weren't doing well. On the one hand I think it's only a sodding game get a grip but on the otherhand I'm not surprised this happened (although not in support of it!).

I haven't played online in quite some time, but you used to be able to call a vote to kick players from a server.

OK some kids are fricking annoying when playing online.

Having said that, this guy shouldn't be allowed near an onlin egame ever again. He needs psychiatric help if he's going to let some little kids comments get to him to the point where he goes round to his house and assaults him.

Plus, he's unemployed yet still can somehow afford a PS3?! I wish I could afford a PS3.

If he really must waste his time playing PS3 instead of going searching for a job then mute the annoying idiots or just don't put voice chat on.

As above, mute the fecker.

I tend to get a fair bit of abuse for "camping" because I got 30:4 but my gameplay style is "run'n'gun" - I'll pause to reload before heading around the corner. I just mute them all except my friends.

That is nothing. I play an interactive 3D game, its called life, and is really realistic with tactile feedback like keyboards etc. /s

I get sick of the screams of 'camper' when you're either not doing so or playing tactically i.e. sniper. There's a difference between this and actual camping described as..

wiki wrote:
In video gaming, camping is a tactic in which a player will obtain a strategic position anywhere on the map and wait for players to arrive and be killed, or waiting for useful objects to appear in an area rather than actively seeking them out
