He was a force in the industry, turning a sick Apple around to become a power house in the consumer electronics industry.

His business style might not have engendered himself to everyone, but he certainly had a vision of how to bring Apple back from the brink.

I am glad he had some time with his family, before he died.

The speech he gave at a Stanford graduation ceremony in 2005 suggests he was quite philosophical about it

Those who will have seen the recent picture of him in the papers won't be surprised by this news.

I can't add to what so many respected world figures have already said. I can only agree that the world has lost a remarkable man.

RIP Steve Jobs.

An inspiring man, the person who's keynote speeches have made me more and more enthusiastic about Apple products.
I am very sad that we won't see him on stage at an Apple event, and even though he might not have gone up there again, it is sad to think we won't see him in the audience either.

Thank you, Steve, for everything you have done at Apple and everything you have helped to give us.

It is a truly sad day.

A sad day. I’m at a loss to think of anything new to add to the various obituaries that have been populating Twitter and the press today. We all knew this day was going to happen. All I can say is that if you have Apple kit, enjoy it just a little bit more today than you usually do.
