It kept sending me to the beta page for searches a few weeks back.
PITA.
Everything was US-centric with no option for a UK based search.

Google wanna stop tinkering with what's become the fundamentals at least - image search is now a pain in the hole for instance, and clicking the 'search' button instead of pressing the return key has recently saw me wondering why it deleted the text I just entered, and took me back to the original query :roll:

So they're encrypting them so only they know what you searched for thus increasing their profile of you (as you have to be signed in) & stopping others from using the search data to improve their services.
