In all honesty, I don't think I'm going to bother any more.

You may feel differently after the 3 years have passed before it's shipping. Maybe.

I think it's more about life in general. I play very few if any games now. I play CoD because mates play it and it's a great way to catch up and have some stress relief at the same time. But I may be starting to settle down more and certainly once I'm working independently full time, the pressures will be different.

As far as the PS4 is concerned, wait for the “slim” hardware version - it will be cheaper than the “fat” launch version. Unless there are some killer games in the pipeline, I won’t be buying on day one this time.

well I am probably going to get a PS3 soon. DVD player has packed up so looking to get a new one and might as well get a blueray - so if getting a BR player might as well get a PS3 - and can then steam stuff off the PC direct to the main TV in the lounge

I find less time to play games now and either build a collection of unplayed stuff or become more selective about what I buy. This year for example I haven't bought LA Noire, Crysis 2, Forza 4, Rage, Arkham City, Portal 2, Bulletstorm, Brink.....

That said I can still see me owning a console to play the few titles I do get around to buying and with engines like Frostbite 2.0 making the current gen consoles pale in comparision to a decent PC I think I'm ready for some new hardware.

I only use my ps3 for catch up tv these days.
