So he's saying that they need to tap the lasses. Can't argue with that ideology. :D

Deserves to go into the FAIL thread IMO.

From what I understand, female gamers tend not to enjoy "girly" games but do like ones wih a female as the main character.

I know quite a few girls who have gotten into the stories of Assassins Creed, The Darkness etc but don't actually play 'em...

From the first article:

Quote:
While Ryan acknowledged that day one Vita buyers will be "our good old core gaming demographic", he said the company "will look to... go younger rather more quickly and deliberately than we did with PSP.

translation: "We're going to pander you in the first few months, then go off a chase the casual market where the real money is"

i love the gaming industry

What's even sillier is that Sony thinks the 'casuals' will shell out well over £200 to play the sort of games that are now 69p on a device they already own

What? Haven't you heard about the touch panel on the back of it?! ;)

Sony are probably hoping they can sell you smaller versions of existing franchises for around the same RRP. And if you're mad/rich enough, some nasty PSN DLC and an extortionate memory card...
