I'd love for that to be true - in a strange way I like my tech a bit mad, not that I'd ever buy MS :)

Love the idea of a tablet, but in some ways, can't help but feel it's all too much - too many controllers/accessories etc.

If the tablet was genuinely useful you wouldn't mind, but I would fear gimmickry, loss of functionality and cost-cutting elsewhere...

I think it would be awesome if it was part of the gameplay eg the tablet is your mobile phone/PDA in the game and you get details on it, so instead of having to read messages onscreen, you could look at them on your tablet. Or perhaps use it for minigames that tied into the main game.

I'm all about the story and pacing of events, so that wouldn't do anything for me personally :)

I hope not. How are you supposed to fit cooling for a good CPU/GPU in a tablet?
You only need to look at how cut down laptop GPU's compared to desktop GPU's to see that it's not the best idea for a games console.

IIRC the rumour suggested that you'd still have a box plugged into the TV that also acted as a dock for the tablet. I seriously doubt it's true of course...
