They really do deserve to die on their arse - if it's not £40-45 games, seriously overpriced/tragic 'trade-in value' games, it's the staff asking you if you need any help

Gamestop will become an online endeavour only, FYI...

If/when HMV bites the dust, I think the supermarkets will be about your only realistic alternative re. brick and mortar stores. I'm just wondering how it'll affect supermarket and online prices in the long run :?

I could see eBay getting flooded with more games than usual...

There does need to be some competitive pricing or some kind of exclusive deals for me to want to walk in to the likes of Game. Why should I have to drive to town, park up, walk my lazy ass to the high street all to buy a game. Fifteen years ago, when the internet hadn't really taken off, it was a great way to spend time - browsing through a computer store, trying out demos etc.

If I'm walking past Game, why would I step inside?

Banks throw GAME a lifeline

Once the leases are up on some of your UK stores, sell those n'all

I bought Skyrim from Game recently...

Then I went to HMV round the corner and saw it for £10 less than I had just paid.

So I went to return it to Game and bought it from HMV instead.

I don't think I've ever found a game in Game that is cheaper than anywhere else. I dont' expect it to be cheaper than Amazon or Play.com etc... but at least some other high street store.

Also, why would I buy a trade-in game for £29.99 when the new game is £24.99?!?! (I have actually seen this).

I only bought Skyrim from Game because they were selling it at around £24 last year - as opposed to the regular “might as well call it city quid” mark.
