Product recall: strung seed bracelet

As a precautionary measure we are recalling this strung seed bracelet (pictured) bought in our shop at the Eden Project visitor attraction.

We are contacting customers to warn them that the bracelet contains seeds that are poisonous if ingested.

Anyone who has bought such a bracelet from the Eden Shop in the last two years should call the shop team on 01726 818802 to arrange a full refund.

Please note that the online version of the Eden Shop has never sold this item and is not affected by this product recall.
For enquiries regarding returns and refunds, please call our shop team on 01726 818802.

The seeds in question are Jequirity Beans that contain a poison called Abrin, which is related to Ricin but can be rather more potent.

Ignore the advice however and definitely don't post the bracelet. Seal it in a plastic bag and hand it in at your local Police station for safe disposal.

Oh and give anything it's touched a good clean.

Bloody hell...
On the other hand, that is a lovely example to quote to all those people who seem to think 'natural is good for you, artificial is bad for you' :-P

They say you can swallow the seeds whole with no ill effects, because they pass right through you.

In other news - don't go eating your wrist watch, which may very well contain mercury, lead and arsenic. If it's old enough, possibly uranium or other radioactive elements. Never post such items - always seal them in a bomb proof container and call the police to remove them.

Does anybody know how many of these death bringers were sold, and if anybody has actually dies/been made sick from them?
