It's not really the same - this guy is much, much worse. He's crazy enough to do it but smart enough not to get caught and not to leave anything behind that's an obvious clue, at least so far. That makes him just about the nastiest kind of nutter there is. Jon |

Oh he'll get caught. There have been others that got away with three or four shootings. They nearly always get caught because they don't stop. It's just a question of how many more people will die. |

The beeb report makes for pretty grim reading. One of the men he shot at the cashpoint was wounded and trying to crawl away, so the gunman walked up to him, turned him over and shot him three more times! With any luck, this guy will finally snap and end his own worthless existence. However, as JJ said, how many more will he murder before this is over? |

Given the two previous attacks hadn't been widely reported in the UK (I wonder why not.. serious question BTW. No pattern = no serial killer = not 'sexy' enough?) and the first I heard of it was that someone had shot up a jewish school, that was my initial thought. However given the army staff shot in the first attack were of Arabic extraction that seems unlikely, unless the shooter(s) considered them traitors somehow. At the end of it all, I think it's pretty hard to rationalise the actions of someone who would drive up, take out a gun and start shooting at schoolchildren. I suspect whatever his justifications turn out to be, they'll be pretty hatstand. Jon |

I'm half expecting this to be linked to that Norwegian head case that went on the rampage. The victims so far have been conspicuously non-native non-white and non-European in origin. |
