What utter [LIFTED] - if anything next-gen consoles will see a push towards digital distribution, making it easier for small developers to publish games into the respective marketplaces for download. The day will come when big publishing houses and discs are obsolete. |

No to the first, and probably to the second The industry will always need those people to stick their capital on the line for a product, a lot of small (non independent) development studios rely on the publisher to get money/advertisement |
