The Ford Sync system, in its basic package level is audio only, no display.
To be honest, even when I had a navsystem, I rarely looked at the screen whilst driving, I just listened to the directions. I can see it being useful for deaf drivers though.

So with 2 points of contact it will just feel like the signal is switching from your left hand to your right hand alternately. Good idea

LOL! Turn left when the wheel vibrates anti-clockwise. Turn right when the wheel vibrates clockwise. Stop when the wheel vigorously vibrates all over at the same time... you've hit something.
