Someone's been smoking the bad crack.

When I went to Cuba years ago, we had a special card which we had to fill out and immigration stamped that instead of the passport. They did this as the US was refusing entry to anyone who had a Cuban stamp on their passport.

This is funny, or not, depending on how you look at it. My mum's cousin is black. His father was Nigerian, so he has obviously inherited traits from that side of the family.

He went to Cuba and Mexico a couple of years ago. He had a real problem getting into Mexico because they thought he was someone absconding from Cuba and I think it took him ages to convince them that he was British, that his passport was genuine etc.. The problem is that he LOOKS like he could be a Cuban native.

He's the kind of person who tells this story with a huge grin and can laugh about it now, but I can imagine that at the time it would have been a worrying experience.

When I went to Russia in 1990, the visa and arrival card was a separate document and I didn't get a passport stamp for the same reason.

I could have 2... but the second one would cause me more problems than it would solve

I could claim both Irish and British if I wanted and the Irish option is easier in every sense, but I'd be a total hypocrite

Could claim a Chinese passport but I would look very out of place, head and shoulders above the rest so to speak ;)
