A little North East from where I am now is Lake Vernwy which supplies water to Liverpool, which I believe is in England...

A few years ago there were reports about the huge losses of water just transporting it locally. I could imagine that one might start off with a reservoir of water in North Wales and only have a cupful left when it got to London :P

Water isn't a commodity like oil - it's a necessity. Hence IMO it shouldn't be taxed and should be profit-neutral.

If you want Welsh water then move to Wales.

Now there's an export market for the Scots when they get independence.

How about we just do something about the gross over-population in South-East England?

Or the UK in general.

Most of England is sparsely populated and rural (not to mention Scotland and Wales), not sure how the rest of the UK is over-populated?
