God no.
More efficient petrol vehicles until hydrogen comes online.
Electric cars are like the 8-track cassette.

I eagerly await the imminent public ban on diesel engines to protect children and other innocents.

They told us petrol caused cancer, when I was a child... What does it matter, whether it is diesel or petrol fumes, both are bad...

I'd have thought the phrase "No [LIFTED] Sherlock" would be quite apt there.
I dread to think what oil based mud fumes do to my lungs offshore. Thankfully (unlike some people) I'm not exposed to them all day.

Both petrol and diesel produce carcinogens, it's pretty standard from burning hydrocarbons from memory

I bet the smoke from burning wood can cause cancer too

Exactly

Can make hydrogen from water using renewable energy to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen in water, it 'fills' a lot quicker than current batteries (until capacitors or similar tech allows charging in minutes not hours) and is clean burning and doesn't require huge amounts of semi-precious metals to make the storage medium

The whole explosion thing is a bit of a risk though...

In the mean time we can separate the CO2 from natural gas and pump it back down old gas wells in the North Sea (if we wanted to and somebody paid for it).
