Now we know what the school league tables are for. It was suggested in thus house that all the left handed kids would be given up. I reckoned all the special needs kids would be. Seems that I was partially right.

Torchwood portrayed the politicians perfectly the meeting to decide how, who and what would be sacrificed was about spot on …

That was a great scene – I do like stuff like this. It doesn’t have to be science fiction either – I get caught up in the arguments and the discussions. What would you do then? How would you make the choice? It’s a massively overblown version of a philosophical dilemma. A train is hurtling towards a crowd of people. You have the chance to throw the points to send it on a different line, but in doing so it will kill a baby.

I have to agree ( with both) it was very thought provoking How would you decide? Lottery (like the draft in the US during the Vietnam war) Ability? Scotland
