I did actually want one of these - I started saving up for a Spectrum, but decided against it after borrowing a friend’s for a couple of weeks. A C64 was next on the list as the BBC Micro was hellishly expensive (though, really, I wanted a BBC because I liked the BASIC and expandability). Plumped eventually for an Electron, and later a BBC B.
