... and set it alight in horrific unexplained attack

I can't bring myself to read this article or post it. The pictures are horrific & sickening. How could anyone do such a thing to a helpless animal? If these people are caught they should be jailed for life & hope the other inmates batter them. It's up there with child abuse in my book.

I'd say someone who could do that would definitely be considered to be 'a danger to others and themselves'. You couldn't consider it anything other than psychotic behaviour. Lock 'em up and don't let 'em out for a very long time.

If I caught someone doing that, I'd beat them to death. F**k calling the police.

we certainly need to start too fit the punishment to the crime, which seems to be sadly lacking at this time ...

A sencible and proportionate reply.

As much as I'd like to wish unspeakable things on such people who do little to show any "humanity", please lets all remember that we're better than them.

How about we at least castrate them, so the fcukers can't propagate this kind of behaviour through their spawn?

Watch sat nights's NewNight on iPlayer. Includes popular Cbeebies presenter Cerrie Burnell (who had clearly not left BBC premises quickly enough so got roped in), a Eugenisicist and someone who has a disabled child.

And in the news today 'Hunt for sick sadist who gouged out a cats eye'

It makes me sick. If anyone harmed my gorgeous cats I don't know what I would do. These pets are members of the family and not just animals. We live in a very sick world :(

There was an incredibly horrific news story earlier this year or last year where a pony had been mutilated.
It was despicable. I don't know how people can do it.

I know exactly what I'd do. I refer you to my earlier comment.
