Indeed. Anyone with an IQ higher than a glass of water could see it was a flippent remark based on frustraion rather than an actual threat.

I believe it was an idiotic and not remotely funny 'joke' but the way he was prosecuted for it is shocking.

Saying that I once crashed into a lamppost and reported the damage to the council but was arrested a day later for 'leaving the scene'.

I found that to be a good read of the events. I think it was a gross overreaction. We all think similar things and Twitter allows us to express those thoughts to others.

Completely agree that certain bits of law need to be updated and also that some are gross and unfair.
