Would you say those t-shirts are 'ok'? There's a lot of people who genuinely hate her

I know the feeling. There are politicians over here whose deaths could cause street parties ffs.

Hate's a bit strong.

I dislike her and what she stood for, but I wouldn't wish anyone dead, nor would I be particularly happy when the old bag eventually shuffles off her perch. Certainly wouldn't consider buying or wearing a T-shirt with that on it. Think it's rather sad that people are buying them to be honest, but each to their own.

Swings and roundabouts.
I'd quite happily dance on Arthur Scargill's grave.

People are entitled to their sense of humor, but it seems a bit strange to sell them there, when you know you'll get negative media coverage for doing it.

There are a lot of people on both sides of the political divide who have a very low opinion - bordering on loathing - of the mainstream press and take every opportunity possible to upset them, consequences be damned. Let's face it, if the current party system and first-past-the-post elections means you're never going to be anywhere near power anyway, why not just say what you feel?

It happens at all party conferences too, you get the extreme nutters with their strange t-shirts. No doubt this will appeal to some hardcore trade unionists, but I'd venture that the majority of union members just aren't interested in such a thing.

I'd say the majority of trade unionists, the actual members, just aren't interested in the TUC and what goes on there.

Likewise you could say that some MPs just aren't interested in representing the people.

Well given the amount of politicians around the world and across the ages, there is a chance, slim as it may be, that at least one of them was in the position for the right reasons.

You mean the independent candidates who rarely get elected because most people vote for a party rather than the candidate?

Independent candidates that are pushing local 'touchstone' issues do quite often get elected despite voter inertia. However they very rarely survive more than one term because in actual fact an individual MP has almost no power to change anything at all. So when they haven't fixed whatever they were elected to fix after four years, people tend to turf them out on their arse.
