There was a unlock screen on one phone that used a multi swipe unlock. There will be alternatives to the slide to unlock. |

I do see what you mean, but it does impact the look and feel of the device. I have seen alternative screen locks, which could be good alternatives and more secure. By forcing others to use other solutions that are different and not patented. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. |

I'd like to see a clear distinction made between a basic act and the technology/software involved - I'm guessing the tech side of it isn't 'something new' if you're somewhat patenting the act itself? ![]() |

I agree with you. The whole concept of patenting designs seems strange. Though I can appreciate the whole look and feel design reason for patents. Otherwise Samsung would simply copy Apple verbatim on some of its phones. |
