If the head if MI6 had an affair would anyone care? Would anyone even dream of calling for his resignation?

He's alleged to have had multiple affairs and this one could have been the catalyst for a much bigger story I guess :|

I think that it only matters if the person was a foreign national.

Not just that but the whole arrangement. If this woman had financial problems then she would be much more susceptible to a financial offer that compromises the nation. Maybe they need to ensure that those that host are not financial vulnerable?
