http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20389297 Or you could stop being a [LIFTED] and ensure a deal stands up to scrutiny in the first instance. The water companies? Train networks? |

If you rush legislation through with so many holes in it then you are bound to get appeals from anyone that is affected. I wonder how many of these companies made big donations to the Tories in the past to get legislation through that the government are now tweaking? |

Didn't the last Labour administration push through more new laws than had been passed in the previous 200 years or some such lunatic stat? |

Actually this is to reduce the time ( and so money) wasted by everyone with an axe to grind saying that their special needs have not been addressed. IN most cases they fail but the government needs to show that they have / its not applicable and with judicial reviews often taking months and months by then end of the whole process you can waste years and the funding for the project diverted to other areas |

I am not making the Tories out to be any worse than Blair and New Labour. We need a clamp down on business donations to parties as it is too easy to be seen as corruption. I think that only voters should be allowed to contribute and there needs to be a cap on individual donations of £500. Also fund raisers should be heavily restricted to eliminate loop holes for fund raising. |

Reads like an attempt to further erode what democracy we have left. |

Agreed appeals are a way to right wrong decisions. It was an appeal that showed that the governments tendering process was flawed. While I think that we need to renationalise the railways the appeals showed that the governments bidding process was flawed. |

I suspect that if you have the resources of the Virgin group you'll still be quite able to lodge an appeal. It's those that don't have that level of funding that are most likely to be cut out of the process. |

Yes but we still need to protect the rights of organisations like Virgin group as well as protect ours. I suspect that the government will try and abolish rights to appeal to benefit cuts or decisions at some point, or the right to stop your neighbour building in their garden in a way that will block your light. |
