I wonder if the bookies will take a bet on screen bleed in the initial batch ;)

Agreed. Many have commented on how much space they would take up in stores. Plus if Apple were to maintain their 30% margins they would be pricey. Though a TV that connects seamlessly to other iOS devices might appeal to some.

It would also need to seamlessly connect to all the other "stuff" people have otherwise they may sell a lot but they will have a lot of returns.
I personally cant see what they would bring that would make me buy one in preference to a Sony, Samsung et al because it sure as hell wont be the price.

Indeed. we already have Smart TVs. I personally can't see where there's a huge gap in the TV market to jump into. The only bit of TV that stands any space for improvement are remotes and glassesless 3D. I don't think the latter is a big enough USP and the former, well, what are they going t do that isn't going to look just like a poor version of Kinect. Especially given the 'not poor' version of Kinect is pretty much 'meh'...

Oh, they'll push it out every six months or so, on the off chance it actually does happen, at which point they will be all smug and say 'we told you so', hoping we'll forget the 15 previous times they said it when it didn't happen.

I agree. People do not upgrade TV'S unless there is a very good reason. Smart TV's have been out for a few years now and are still underused I would imagine. I only replaced my last TV when the tube was starting to go.

Like the Apple Phone then. I am still not convinced that Apple really go after this market with a new product, given that the iMac could be well adapted to such use.
