The tea workers could probably do with some legal advice right about now.
I expect it's not a negotiating tactic that will be taking off here any time soon although if the government carry on their attacks on workers rights who's to say what could happen in the future.

In India the level of corruption by government is immense. So I doubt that they will get much support from the government. I was listening to a Today podcast and the government there redefined poverty at a level 20% lower than before. Now you need to earn 40 rupees a day to be poor in the cities now before it was 50 rupees a day. Taking lessons from George I see.
