I'd love to know just how much is in the reserves (quite a bit I'd guess), and just what waste the government would cut.

Yet the Tory Shires are complaining about their 3% cuts http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/conservative/9770908/Tory-shires-in-revolt-over-cuts.html when cities councils are facing much higher cuts. The Tories are trying to run the nation like a household budget but fail to appreciate that national accounts are nothing like household accounts. With the cuts going to cause huge pain for most the real question is who will the coalition scapegoat next? They have already started with the unemployed low paid and disabled so who next? I suspect that we will have a decade of unrest eventually becoming as vicious as in Greece or Hungary with the rise of UKIP and the BNP.

There is no such thing as society.

Sadly, the Tories are still believing that phrase, despite the thin veneer of appearing to care about it.

So the tories are determined to destroy the state. Though the problem is that without the state it will create a feral society and that will cost the rich a lot more to defend themselves. Though I suspect that they will have emigrated by then.
