Corruption? Who better than Vaz?

The Met alone do serious damage to police reputation, though I am interested in those Chief Con. figures and if having one makes a difference either way!

My trust in the police has never been particularly high, since there was an investigation into corrupt officers, and a couple of contract killings carried out by the police for organised crime gangs. Most officers are clean but the higher up they get the opportunities for extra curricular income seems to increase. Just look at the News International scandal and how many coppers where taking payments. In order to clean the police they need to prosecute any officers for criminal acts and sack as many of them as possible. That will allow the cuts in numbers to happen without harming the service any more than necessary. At the same time it will improve the reputation of the police. Though they might screw things up if they back the government with some of their crazy policy decisions.
