This is the company that installed, without any permission, rootkits on any PC that came into contact with a relevant product, then when they offered up a removal fix it left a massive great security hole in Windows.

Of course they're that [LIFTED] insane.

1. I don't think I'll buy the PS4.
2. I will only buy "dead cert" games that I know would be awesome. Or I just stop gaming altogether.

I think they're going for a Fail Armada.

I doubt that I will buy one. I buy few games and mostly second hand but will be excluded by this technology. I suspect that first time sales will also suffer significantly as they will also be far more selective with first time purchases. Only Sony are this short sighted.

Not for a while given the rate they're building them.

Multi-channel TV service?

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/38 ... eneral-RSS

They can't even organise a single channel music service that works!

Also who would buy it? I can see Apple being able to offer such a service. Sony could offer a movie service with their existing studio and try and get others to join in.

It more sounds like they're going to provide "cable over broadband" from existing cable TV network providers. It says "linear content".

Yes but that still does not account for data caps with some services. It could be anti competitive if you were tied to get your content from your ISP. It would exclude you from other services providers, be they Apple, Sony etc.
