I think this says more about his attitude towards the railways than anything else. I have written to him in the past when he was gleefully helping dismantle the NHS and got really crappy replies from him. I may write to him again, this time pointing out he could save himself £10 a journey if he travelled to Epping and use the Tube from there. I may get a nonsensical reply from him.

I think that this might be an element of them and us plebs. I do wonder why they are allowed to have such perks. It also distances them from the services that they are supposed to be managing. He should be forced to use the railways so that he has a better understanding of what the public go through.
