The problem is that cuts from central government mean that the impact on front line services are far greater than the cuts. |

I fall to see how this if dodging democracy. They can be voted out at the next council elections if people don't like what the councils are doing. |

No worse really to shops claiming that a product is “less than £200” when it’s priced at £199.99 Or petrol stations and their 137.9 method of pricing. |

Though I suspect that they will vote them back in when they see the alternatives, hardly undemocratic. |
