There are already stories the power cut at the superbowl on Sunday'Monday was arranged by a betting syndicate that had it as spot bet. |

There were tales of it being caused by beyonce's use of hair dryers. ![]() The fact that as many as 700 matches could have been fixed is shocking. Though any clues as to how widespread this is in the Premier league? What will the FA do? |

Apparently the primary areas under suspicion seem to be the Baltic state's leagues - and probably Italy, but then it's no revelation to state the game in Italy might be corrupt, because it's organisers have been found guilty of corruption several times. The only game in England under suspicion is a champions league game a Hungarian side took part in and even then the briefing is that the English team involved (Liverpool, as it happens) appears to have done nothing untoward. |

It is probably because the premiership players are paid to much to bribe. The fact that more than 700 people have been arrested is not a surprise when you consider how profitable it would be to a syndicate who could change outcomes of matches. |
