The only problem with music streaming services is the price. Though I do suspect that prices of ebooks could be lower, considering the dominance of amazon.

I got "The Gripping Hand" for 2.99 off Amazon's Kindle store this week, that is a sensible price to me...

Isn't the issue more to do with e-books being liable for taxation?
I've picked up a few books for next to nothing, but more recent books are a bit on the expensive side (relatively speaking).

Yes - "real" books have zero rated VAT whereas Digital books have 20% VAt (although as amazon sell via Luxomberg there is very little VAT anyway)

I think what Amazon does is charge the UK reader 20% and pay the Luxembourg government 12% VAT rate and they pocket the difference.

Oh there's bargains to be had no doubt, but charging slightly less or even more is ridiculous whoever's responsible.
