I can't help thinking that anyone who lets their kids near a priest these days probably needs a slap :oops:

I agree, though not all priests are paedophiles some are gay. :shock:

Agreed, but the ones I know who were gay were not into kids. I suspect that there may be a higher proportion who are gay and paedophile because of the access it may grant them, though that could be true of any other body that has access to kids. So they may gravitate to industries with access. Savile would have limited access to minors as a miner but far more as a DJ.

I get the impression the Roman Catholic Church is an organisation no longer fit for purpose. It should be shut down with immediate effect.

I might argue that the purpose in no longer fit for an organisation...

Perhaps we should request a UN meeting with their "higher power" to discuss a few issues. If he doesn't show up, then they get told to abide by international law or face the consequences.

Certainly there should be a review of it's charity status. Hiding evidence and witnesses in paedophile cases are not worthy of charity status.
