Post subject:  Dave Lee Travis arrested

Quote:
Dave Lee Travis, the ex-Radio 1 DJ and Top of the Pops presenter, has been arrested over further claims of sexual offences, Scotland Yard has confirmed.

Mr Travis was arrested on Monday after answering bail following his first arrest in November 2012 as part of Operation Yewtree.

He has been bailed to return in April.

His arrest comes after a senior Crown prosecutor said a number of "significant" arrests are planned of people suspected of sexual abuse.

I wonder if this is for children or rape of young women? So many police investigations into celebrities it is hard to tell which group they fall into.

Last year when he was questioned it wasn't for anything underage, but for alleged sexual harassment against a woman colleague(s) at Radio 1. Apparently, he jiggled her jubblies and generally behaved lewdly!

Sexual assault but why wasn't anything done before now? Though I do think that the general attitude towards women has changed significantly since the seventies which is when this event could have happened. So prosecuting someone now for what was acceptable then, is a very tricky area.
