The Fog gave me nightmares as a young teen. I think I was 13 when I read it. I'm kind of glad they never filmed it. Have they filmed any of his books? I can't think of any off the top of my head. Moonstone might make a good film. |

His earlier work just seemed to be blood and gore for the sake of it (The Rats, The Fog, etc) but books after that were better written and a lot more restrained. According to Wikipedia very few of his books have been adapted for the big screen. |

I enjoyed the Rats trilogy as a kid, great nightmares. I think there have been two adaptions to film, both crap iirc. |
