If the estate is an Audi, then full marks for taking two of them out and a BMW.

'That looks serious' she said. lol.
Luckily you'd need something much faster than a TT to get up to speed on my little cul de sac, but it must be a hell of shock to be sat there quietly when all of a sudden... you don't expect Children's Hour to be interrupted by a brain damaged idiot's brains being splattered around the front room.
There's quite a crack in the house. I wonder how much that'll cost to put right - doesn't look like the sort of thing you can just plaster over.

Bit of t-cut, it'll buff out no problem Down to the building insurance, assuming they have any. They could end up paying out and they'd just have to go buy another house - effectively write it off. Jon

From the looks of it that is going to be expensive. Hotel accommodation until house and garage are fixed. Once the car is removed the cracks might disappear, but they will still need to be sealed. If the house is damaged beyond repair then it will cost upto £150 000 to demolish and rebuild. Most of the houses value is the land so that will be there regardless. Then home owners car looks like it will be a write off as well. Add in other expenses and this will add to everyone's insurance next year.

Oh, piss off, he HAD to be tanking it to do that. I hope his insurance slaps him with a dangerous driving clause and this bankrupts him.

Maybe it was the weather. A freak typhoon in Kansas perhaps.

I'm half expecting his insurance to claim that at the time of the accident, the car was in fact a low flying plane and therefore not covered by his policy.

Two cars on the drive, plus one in the wall. As I said, full marks for taking out two Audis and a Beamer.

Sod that, he's tossed a ton weight of metal into somebody's bedroom. How about an actual dangerous driving prosecution?

The investigation is ongoing, but that doesn't seem an unlikely outcome. We may find out in about 2 years...

If that happened then the home owner could be the big loser, as their insurance would be impacted. This is not their fault and as such it should not be dependant on whether they had insurance.

Why? He'd effectively be an uninsured driver. I've had a car written off by an uninsured driver (my insurance was third party only) - it took a while but I was eventually paid out by the Motor Insurers Bureau, and they were free to pursue the scrote for their costs.

Considering the number of time I have been hit by uninsured motorists I really should have remembered the Motor Insurers Bureau.

Actually, won't the home owner/home owner's insurance company be able to claim for the damage off the driver's car insurance? That's what '3rd party' means after all. Always assumed 3rd party wasn't limited to another motor vehicle, it applied to whatever property damage or injuries were caused...
