Frank has long been full of [LIFTED] of course, though at least he had the wit to sweeten it here.

Gibeau says the game was designed to be an MMO-style connected experience, and EA should have better at conveying this to gamers.

Well that went well. Personally I am not that bothered about an MMO version of Sim City. Until now most people have created their cities on their own. So will they suddenly take to MMO versions? Why have an always on DRM if people only want to play solo and have the disc?

I notice a lot of mobile games and Windows Store games all want to attach to some sort of gaming service, such as XBox in order to store your achievements. I hate that, when I'm on the move and have no signal, I can't carry on from where I left off, because it doesn't store a local cache of my current status!

Also is piracy such a problem?

Game Center allows you to play offline and will then send up your achievements and scores when you have a connection. Of course, you can also disable Game Center and play without it.

I needed to log in with Game centre for Sid Meiers Railroads as it was being downloaded to a second machine. Though since then it has not been an issue as a single player game anyway.
