'Man in glass house seen throwing stones at passers by.' Mind you, he's a measure of reserve and intelligence compared to Ian Duncan Smith. After the man being kept in a luxurious lifestyle by his inherited millionairess wife replied to the question 'could you live on £52 a week?' with a dismissive 'well, I'm sure I could if I had to', a petition to require him to do exactly that now has more signatures than he got votes at the last election.. The problem is that those on low incomes are also recipients of in work benefits and they are being cut significantly this month. If they freeze or even cut minimum wage that will not help the economy at all. |
