I suspect that there will be many more such incidents before the war is over. Though what might happen now is that they are more careful about who sees it.

Not overly surprising, the culture of the middle east is more violent than our own.
Put people with that kind of personality in life and death situations, and it can bring out the worst in them, especially by western standards.

They are in the middle of a vicious civil war that has already claimed the life's of 60 000 so there will be some resentment between communities.
