Many employment taxes are paid by the employee, not the company. National insurance is also insignificant overall to such companies same for local taxes.

The whole 'we pay tax because our employees pay tax' argument is just the most idiotic and spurious thing. Those employees didn't pay tax because you told them to, they paid tax because the government told them to. You as a company had little to do with it beyond a bit of paperwork, which if you didn't do you would be prosecuted.

It's insulting to their employees and it's insulting to the intelligence of everyone else.
