I would like to see the end of 12 month contracts. So if they bumped up prices people could simply switch overnight. It would also help if they can make switches within days rather than weeks.

Single unit pricing like at the forecourt.

So that would be the single unit of petrol, diesel, lpg, or electric then right?

I think it should be measured by a standardised unit (KWH) as then there is some conext, especially between things like gas/electric hobs and it's not like it's difficult to calculate the KWH from 1 m^3 of gas

My current electricity contract runs out and every single new deal is at least £60 more per year. It is around 15% more. Then if you try and work out what is best because of standing charges it means every single comparison site gives a different company as the next best alternative.
