It's the system. He's served his sentence and if he's got parole, that means he's been assessed as not being a danger to society. That means according to the same laws that we used to put him in gaol, he has to be let out. Of course he's actually on a life sentence which means he's not actually free, if he so much as blinks in a suspicious way they'll drag him straight back in.
There's also the point that every moment he's outside he's going to be spending hoping people don't find out who/where he actually is, because it's quite likely a very short period after that he'll be running for his life. He can never slip, never trust anyone. He may be at liberty, but he's effectively a fugitive. He's also spent his whole adult life in gaol, what will he think of the outside world now? Is that really a life anyone would want to have?
To be honest with you, if it was me, I'd be wanting to stay inside.

It will be hard to get a job with a CV like his.

That's the point though, he'll probably get the best CV. As part of his new identity they effectively have to create a whole life and history for someone. He'll probably have a better chance of getting a job than me at the moment!

Yes but it will be a total lie.

He should be released under his real name.

Since becoming a parent, stories of abused and even murdered children touches a nerve like never before. When I think about what that two year old kid went through I genuinely upsets me.
So forgive my vigilante and unforgiving words but strap the [LIFTED] to a rope hanging off the back of a bus and drive him repeatedly up and down the M1 for all I care.

That would make you as bad as him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-death penalty, but if you are going to take someone's life, (I can't think of a polite word for execution) shouldn't it be done with as much dignity as possible?

I think that he will be watched very closely. There will be too many red faces if he screws up. Though which one was released and brought back after problems outside?

Or with as much pain and suffering as he caused his victim?

Again, no. Someone would have to administer that pain and suffering and, as satisfying as that may sound, the individual would have to live with that. Much better, surely, to take the high road. I'm typing this on Tapatalk and cannot see the previous posts but, yes, he was the one who was released then arrested for having kiddy pics on his computer. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

I think he should have been hanged for his crime - you would have had a queue of people volunteering to pull the leaver.

That's not a valid argument. You'd have a queue of people volunteering to hang Justin Beiber if they were allowed to. The question is general - 'should we have capital punishment for murder?' The answer is yes or no. That's all there is to it. As soon as you attempt to qualify some murders as worthy of capital punishment and some as not, you're on a road to madness. The thing about this case is when he was convicted, he was himself a child. Do we really want to be the kind of people who hang children? Really? Or do we decide to wait until he's 18 then hang him? I can't see a way capital punishment applies to this case that doesn't make the rest of us look like psychos ourselves.

And just as long a queue of volunteers to do it.

Sorry Jon but you sound like a liberal.
He was found guilty of murdering a little kid.
Why do you think he should not have been hung - don't give me "but he was only a kid line" - he knew what he was doing was wrong.
