If that was me and the police offered me a breathalyser test, I'd take it. I'd want to prove that I wasn't drunk rather than leaving that possibility open in people's minds.

There are medical conditions that record a false positive for alcohol. Though I think that she was very embarrassed and probably in shock when she realised how close she was to being killed.
