Bernie's defence seems a little unorthodox - He's not denying he gave the guy millions, nor is he blatantly claiming it was a shakedown. He said he gave him money to calm him down and not attract a costly and unnecessary UK Customs investigation. :?:

i doubt it, they will properly have been bribed ...
